My 2 Cents
I recently got some large circular copper disks. They are 2.5" in diameter, which is larger than I typically work with, but I really like them. They are a good weight and easy to work with. Then came the question: What do I do with these? I sat down one night and had an idea. Wouldn't it be funny/ironic/cool if I made a giant penny? So I did.

New gemstones!
My new gemstones came in! I'm posting pictures, so let me know what you think. I can add any custom copper pendant to these, so if you see something you like, I'm happy to create something for you!
All of these are 50mm in diameter except for the blue (which is 40mm).
Thanks for supporting Copper Alley and keep checking the blog for updates!

Did you think I forgot about you?
I didn't forget, I've just been busy!
I went on a buying trip back in November to Gatlinburg, Tennessee and I got some crystals and gemstones to use with my copper. Here are some of my creations so far:

This is an Eiffel Tower necklace that I made for my Mom with a green chandelier crystal. I have more crystals and I'm trying to figure out what to do with them. I really like this look. What do you think?
Up close and personal.
This is a gemstone that I bought, and I just hung copper over it. It's a free-handed blossom design, and the gemstone is roughly 2" in diameter. I made this as a piece to have on hand, just to try out the design, and a close friend from high school's husband bought it for her for Christmas.
Here's another version with a different stone. This necklace would love a good home! (hint, hint) ;)
Let me know what you think, and I'll keep working on more.
Thanks,
Allison
